With lots of fresh air, proximity to the marshes and the sea, you can find Møgeltønder, looking most of all like a fairy tale. In this story you will find Schackenborg Slotskro, situated along the beautiful cobbled Slotsgade where ducks wander about during the day and old lanterns light up at night. Schackenborg Slotskro, priviliged since1687 is the closest neighbour to Schackenborg Castle, where HRH Prince Joachim was resident from 1995 to 2014. Now the castle is owned by the “Schackenborg Foundation” – the fund set up by HRH Prince Joachim, Bitten and Mads Clausen Foundation, Ecco Holding and Ole Kirk’s Foundation and have Prince Joachim and Princess Marie as patrons.
Schackenborg Slotskro is owned by Schackenborg Slotskro A / S – a partnership between His Royal Highness Prince Joachim and the renowned ship owner Hans Michael Jebsen. The inn is run by Henning Kohl Overgaard Lauritsen since 1 March 2006 and it is a great joy and pleasure for him to welcome you.
